MISSION STATEMENT
Somali Enviroment Protection Alliance Network (SEPAN)
The Somali Environment Protection Alliance Network (SEPAN) is a nonprofit corporation formed to provide charitable programs including, but not limited to:
(a) Advocate for environment protection in the Horn of Africa, conduct research environmental impact on deforestation, and propose solutions.
(b) Promote economic development to reduce causes of environmental degradation and propose an alternative income for those involve deforestation.
(c) Develop policy solutions and proposals to address environmental problems including, but not limited to, air and water pollution, toxic waste dumping and soil degradation. Embark educational and outreach activities in rural areas most directly affected by the environmental degradation.
(d) Direct resources toward grassroots organizations that already engaging some level of environment protection activities.
(e) Conduct research projects on specific environmental problems and threats, addressing those issues that affect day-to-day lives and well-being in local communities
(f) Provide small grants and financial support for the training and education of individuals in the field of environment protection.
